Pre-Development Assessment

All development on traditional lands in British Columbia requires an archeological inventory assessment. In many cases Skeetchestn also conducts a cultural heritage overview (CHO) before the first tree falls or the first shovel sinks into the soil.

From this first phase of the development process, the the last, Skeetchestn has trained and qualified consultants available for contract work.

Archaeologist Lea McNabb, has experience in managing traditional use studies and is frequently contracted to conduct archeological impact assessments and other archeological development. She is the Band’s Cultural Resources Supervisor and has worked with such archeological firms as Arcus and IR Wilson.
